A telephone Befriending service for people with sight loss. Each person will be matched to a dedicated Befriender who will be in regular contact with them. This is a telephone based service provided by volunteers.

We offer a friendly telephone befriending service for people who may be feeling lonely or at risk of isolation. Regular calls are made to those who have let us know they’d like to hear from someone, offering a listening ear, a friendly chat, and a meaningful connection.
Who can use this service?
Any person with a vision impairment and feeling lonely, lacking a local social support network and has access to a telephone line and is comfortable having 30 minute conversations on the 'phone. This service is only available to those in Uttlesford, Harlow, Epping Forest and parts of Braintree and Chelmsford.
How are services delivered?
This is a telephone based services provided by volunteers.
