COMPASS

COMPASS is a single point of access to support victims of domestic abuse across Southend, Essex and Thurrock. It helps women, men and young people aged over 16 to access specialist support including community-based services and specialist accommodation to help them recover and move on from domestic abuse. Compass is also a point of contact for people who have engaged in abusive behaviour in their relationships and are seeking support.

The aim is to provide a single number (0330 333 7 444), which is available 8am to 8pm weekdays and 8am to 1pm weekends, for callers to speak with a trained member of staff who will complete an assessment and ensure contact is made with the most appropriate support service.
