ECL Chelmsford Older People Day Centre (Charles Dickens) offers a friendly, social environment where older people can come to meet others and take part in a range of daytime activities, offering respite for carers and reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation. Our experienced team and inclusive setting mean we’re well-placed to provide specialist dementia day care for adults living with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and those in both the early and later stages of dementia.

Through a range of activities, the support we provide concentrates on enhancing and maintaining our customers independence, wellbeing and relationships, enabling them to live a life that is as ufilled as possible.We are a forward-thinking day centre for older people who  may have a range of needs.The service is fully accessible and is local to community amenities.With support individually tailored, we offer a wide range of activities that encourage independence, choice, social stimulation and remininscence. These include arts and craft, baking, gardening, bowling, bingo, quizzes, singing,music, chair fit, and much more.

ECL Chelmsford Older People Day Centre (Charles Dickens) benefits from a sensitive building design which creates the perfect environment in which to care for those living with dementia. As a result, we’re proud to have received a Gold Accreditation from the Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC) at the University of Stirling for the support we provde customers through Dementia and also supporting families,cares and friends.
