Ticker’s Cardiac Support Group is a self-help organisation providing physical exercise classes to people recovering from heart attacks or suffering from cardiac problems generally. Clients are referred to us via Broomfield Hospital and local GP’s to enjoy the benefits of exercise classes supervised by trainers qualified with the British Association of Cardiovascular Prevention & Rehabilitation. Partners are very welcome to attend as well. The classes are designed to improve physical fitness, increase self-confidence and provide social interaction with others who have had similar experiences.

We are based at the Writtle Sports & Social Club in Paradise Road, Writtle, Chelmsford CM1 3HW. We provide 3 one-hour training sessions per week charging £4 at the door with a free first session.

Sessions take place -

Monday 12.00 noon to 1pm, Wednesday 6.30pm to 7.30pm and Thursday 12.00 noon to 1pm.

From April to November, we organise monthly 3 to 6-mile Sunday walks in the countryside to build strength and stamina, often ending with a pub lunch.

Tickers is part of the British Heart Foundation Independent Group Network.
