The Art Place
The Art Place, a project run by volunteers at the Ideas Hub, is a creative, inclusive community space located in Meadow Shopping Centre, Chelmsford. Our workshop area and range of weekly workshops allow people to access creativity, meet other local residents and learn new skills in a supportive, inclusive environment. Our shop area and makers space offer a platform for local artists and crafters to create, showcase and sell their work. Our cafe area also welcomes various monthly meet ups.
Weekly workshops: Creative Minds: Art class - Mondays 10-12pm; Reusable sanitary pads sewing pachamama project - Tuesdays 13.30-15.30; Sewing & knitting surgery - Thursdays 14:00-15:30
Monthly meet ups: Chelmsford LGBTQ+ Meet Up for over 18s; Essex Trans+ Social; Chelmsford LGBTQ+ Youth Group by The Outhouse Youth Project; Death Cafe - See website for date and time details
